This page explains how Findcub and this website handle your content, account connections and browsing data.

Zero server-side retention of your content (ZDR)
Our Zero Data Retention (ZDR) commitment covers your search content: the files and content you search, your search queries, and the search indexes and embeddings derived from that content. These data are not sent to Findcub’s servers. This commitment applies to everyone using the local search and direct-sync flows described on this page.
Findcub’s servers do not receive, store or log this search content, or use it to train models. Content processing, model inference and search take place on your Mac. This content is not sent to a hosted AI service for processing.
Local processing and encrypted storage
Zero server-side retention does not mean that your Mac stores no data. To support ongoing search, Findcub keeps an encrypted local library that may include selected content, file information, indexes, embeddings, previews and sync caches. Necessary connection credentials are stored in the system Keychain.
File processing may create local temporary copies, which are cleaned up after processing, cancellation or closing the relevant preview. Recent searches stay in memory for the current run and can be cleared. Clearing all indexes deletes the local search database and its related files and replaces its encryption key, without deleting originals. Copies you create, offline files and system backups remain under your control.
Connected cloud content
When you connect Google Drive, Outlook, Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Notion, the Mac app reads selected content directly from the platform you authorize, then processes, indexes and searches it locally. Findcub’s authorization service handles account authorization and token exchange; it does not proxy or store these files, emails, messages, notes or recordings.
The platform that already holds your content may retain originals and access records under its own policies. Other connection services you choose are also governed by their providers’ policies. This commitment covers Findcub’s servers and does not promise zero retention by third-party platforms or services you select.
Account and authorization information
Seeknetic sign-in and cloud account connections require necessary account details, login sessions, authorization state and tokens. These operational data are outside the search-content ZDR scope above; this page makes no zero-retention commitment for account-service operational data. Connection credentials on your Mac are kept in the system Keychain so you can continue accessing authorized sources.
Findcub’s cloud connection authorization service temporarily stores necessary encrypted authorization records. Authorization sessions are valid for 10 minutes; pending tokens are cleared after successful collection. Refresh results are held for 2 minutes for retry recovery, then become unreadable and are scheduled for cleanup. Hosting-provider backup and recovery systems may retain historical versions after this cleanup, so these timings are not physical-erasure deadlines for backups.
Logs and service operation
Because search content does not reach Findcub’s servers, we do not write file contents, search queries, indexes or embeddings into server logs or backups. The cloud connection authorization code does not print request bodies, authorization codes or tokens, and application observability logs for that service are disabled by default.
Account services, hosting providers and authorized platforms may still process technical information needed to operate their services, such as IP addresses, request times, access paths, status codes and security events, and retain it under their own rules. Like account and authorization records, these data are outside the search-content ZDR commitment.
This website
The website’s sample search does not access your local files or cloud accounts, or upload search queries. The site stores your manual language choice in the current browser; change language or clear this site’s browser storage to remove that preference.
This site uses no advertising trackers or third-party traffic analytics scripts. Visiting it still sends normal page requests to the hosting provider, which may retain standard access logs. Language preferences and website access records are outside the software’s search-content ZDR scope.
Your choice, pause and cleanup controls
Findcub searches only sources you add to your library. Adjust folders and sync scope, pause syncing or remove a source. Removing a cloud source clears its local search content and connection information without deleting cloud originals. Clearing caches also leaves ordinary offline files you saved separately intact.
Clear recent searches or all indexes, and revoke account authorization in the corresponding platform. Signing out does not automatically delete original files or existing local indexes. Delete third-party originals, account details and backups through the corresponding service or system.
