Findcub help and content sources
Learn how to prepare searchable content, find a remembered detail and control the sources in your library.
From a remembered detail to a source
After installing and completing setup, choose the content you want to search and allow Findcub to prepare it. Then use a remembered topic, detail or scene as your query.
- Add a supported local folder, or connect a source supported by your installed release.
- Wait for the relevant content to be prepared; an unfinished library may not return every match.
- Inspect the result and its source location before relying on the surrounding information.
Account connection boundaries
The boundaries below apply to supported connections. Availability depends on the installed version, account permissions and organization rules.
- Google Drive: selected folders and Google Docs; not Google Sheets or Slides.
- Outlook: your own mailbox; not calendars or shared mailboxes.
- Zoom: accessible existing cloud recordings and transcripts from the last 24 months.
- Microsoft Teams: selected chats and channels in work or school accounts; organization approval may be required.
- Notion: readable text in selected shared pages and databases; not external files.
Choose, pause or remove a source
You control the content range in your library. Signing out does not automatically clear the existing local library or delete original files.
- Adjust the selected folders or content range, and pause syncing when needed.
- Removing a source clears its local search content and connection information, without deleting the originals.
- Revoke account authorization in the original platform when you want to withdraw access there.
When a result is missing
Start by checking the content range, preparation status and permissions. An item outside the selected or supported range cannot be assumed to be searchable.
- Confirm that the source was added and the relevant content has finished preparation.
- For cloud material, check account access and reconnect online if new content is needed.
- Contact [email protected] with the source type and what happened; read the privacy explanation before sharing sensitive material.
